For the first time, the Houthis rebels of Yemen publicly claimed a coordinated strike with Iran against Israel, which occurred in the night of June 13 to 14, 2025. Ballistic missiles, including “Palestine 2” hypersonics, targeted sites qualified as “sensitive” in the Jaffa region, in the center of the country.
A few hours earlier, the Israeli army had announced that several projectiles drawn towards the center of Israel came from the Yemeni territory. This information was confirmed by the Houthis in a press release released by the Al Masirah channel.
Military spokesman Houthi, Yehya Sarea, said that the operation had been carried out in coordination with the Iranian army, in what he described as a “act of solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian and Iranian peoples”.
