The balance sheet of bad weather in Germany has increased this Saturday, July 17, reaching at least 133 people dead in the country, bringing the number of deaths in Europe to 153.
In total, 90 people lost their lives during the disaster, in the Rhineland-Palatinate region, one of the most affected, to which must be added the 43 deaths that occurred in the Rhine-of-Nord Westphalie, another German region struck by the disaster, and to the 20 dead recorded in Belgium.
Several people died and others missing after a large landslide that won houses on Friday morning in a town not far from Cologne.
On this occasion, Tunisia expressed “its deep solidarity with the German government and the people following these destructive floods which affected the west of Germany” and presented its condolences and its sincere feelings of compassion and sympathy to the German people.
Tunisia has also expressed its deep compassion and presented its condolences to the Belgian people. In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tunisia wishes a speedy recovery to injured people.
