WAEL NAOUARmember of the coordination for joint action in favor of Palestine and participating in the Resistance flotilla aimed at breaking the blockade of Gaza, announced that several convoy ships have been the target of attacks by drones.
According to Naouar, the Yulara and Ohuaila ships were affected, without causing victims or significant material damage. The identity of the attackers has not been specified, and it therefore remains uncertain if it is Israelis or other parties.
On his Facebook page, Naouara describes the situation:
“Intensive drone flight this night above the flotilla. Two drones launched projectiles on Yulara and Ohuaila ships. No human or major material damage has been reported. One of the projectiles was a smoke bomb, the second struck an obstacle of the ship before falling into the sea and could not be identified.
Currently, twelve drones fly over the Alma ship at low altitude, which reveals an imminent attack. For our ship, der Yassin, about five drones evolve at medium altitude above us. »»
This is not the first time that the Resistance flotilla is targeted. Similar incidents had been reported during the accosting ships on the Tunisian coasts, without victims or official recognition from Israel, despite several testimonies, including that of the last American envoy for Syria, Tom Barrett.
