“The Arab world fears a storm”

Former Foreign Minister Ahmed Ounaies commented on Donald Trump’s re-election to the Presidency of the United States.

Speaking on FM mosaic waves, he estimated that “the world is entering a global system of a global system based on the principles of law and moral values based on a unified conception of humanity.”

Ounaies added that Trump and the extreme right in Western capitals do not believe in a unique vision of humanity, but rather advocate the superiority of those who have succeeded materially and who consider themselves to dominate those who do not have the material means to defend themselves.

He stressed that we cannot ignore that Donald Trump, by personal decision, recognized al-quds as the capital of Israel and signed a declaration recognizing the sovereignty of Israel on the set of the Syrian Golan, occupied in 1967 and annexed in 1981. He said that Trump will continue in this way without return.

The former Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs said that the Arab nation fears this storm which threatens our community, our rights, our lands and attacks the culture of principles, values and morals consecrated in the Charter of the United Nations.

He explained that the world is entering a new era of human civilization and political culture, different from that established after 1945 with the Charter of the United Nations. Trump’s choice impacts not only the Americans, but the entire global system, given the power of the United States to influence not only its regional environment, but also the whole world.

The former diplomat insisted on the need for the Arab group to mobilize more than ever to resist the Israeli occupation and the policy of violence and negation of values, not only in our region, but around the world.
