Putin reacts to strikes allowed by Biden in Ukraine

Vladimir Putin revised Russia’s nuclear doctrine two days after Joe Biden authorized Ukraine to use American weapons to hit deep targets in Russia. According to this revision, Moscow will consider any aggression of a non -nuclear state, but supported by a nuclear country, as a joint attack against Russia.

This change comes in response to the Biden administration’s decision to authorize Ukraine to use powerful American weapons within Russia, which the Kremlin considers a dangerous climbing of conflict. The new military doctrine aims to lower the threshold for the use of nuclear weapons in the event of assault. Dmitri Peskov, spokesperson for the Kremlin, said that Russia reserves the right to use nuclear weapons in response to any conventional assault, especially against Belarus.

This revision seeks to send a clear message to the Western allies of Ukraine, warning them of the risks of climbing. At the same time, Russia has intensified its attacks on Ukraine, especially with drones and missiles, aimed at civil infrastructure as winter approaches. This readjustment of nuclear doctrine is a new manifestation of Russia threats since the large -scale invasion of Ukraine, now in its third year.

Russian authorities reacted strongly to Biden’s authorization for Ukraine to use Atacms missiles, stressing that this decision would worsen the conflict. The revision of nuclear doctrine aims to strengthen the credibility of Russian threats, in particular with the approach of the Trump administration, which could adopt a different position with regard to the conflict.
