While the United States has announced that Saudi Arabia has shown its predisposition to normalize its relations with Israel, Riyadh responded in a firm tone.
Yesterday Tuesday, February 6, Saudi Arabia informed the United States of its “firm position” which implies that there will be “no diplomatic relationship with Israel” as long as an independent Palestinian State will not be recognized.
The declaration issued by the Saudi foreign ministry on X rejects the statements of the spokesman for the United States National Security Council, John Kirby that Riyadh would be ready to normalize relations before a cease-fire in Gaza and without progress in the recognition of a Palestinian state.
The declaration calls for the establishment of a Palestinian state on the borders of 1967 with Al-Quds-Est, and at the end of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
