New confirmed cases in Palermo and Florence

Italian authorities announced on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, that the coronavirus was detected in the south of the country.

A woman, from Lombardy, and on vacation in Palermo, has become the first person tested positive for coronavirus in southern Italy. Also, in Florence, a 60 -year -old Italian businessman who would recently went to Singapore was placed in quarantine after being tested positive.

Before these cases, the majority of people with this virus were detected in the northern regions of Lombardy and Veneto. These new data bear the number of confirmed coronavirus cases over 220 in Italy.

Yesterday, René Trabelsi, Minister of Tourism and Acting Transport had indicated that it is possible to suspend flights between Tunis and Milan in Italy in the event of the propagation of the coronavirus in Italy.

Note that about 200 thousand Tunisians resident in Italy, including 60% which are in the quarantine areas.
