Morocco has decided to suspend any contact with the German Embassy.
According to Moroccan diplomatic sources quoted by AFP, the decision was made due to “deep misunderstandings” with Berlin on fundamental questions for Morocco, in particular the Western Sahara file.
“All ministerial departments are requested to suspend any contact, interaction or action with the German Embassy in Morocco as well as with cooperation organizations and the German political foundations linked to it,” said a leak document from the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The same sources indicate that among the points denounced by the Kingdom, appears to be sidelined in negotiations on the future of Libya during a conference organized in Berlin in January 2020.
