The Algerian Ministry of Health has announced that 1110 cases of malaria have been recorded in five wilayas in southern Algeria. Tamanrasset has recorded the greatest number of cases with 918 people affected.
The ministry confirmed that some of the infections recorded came from abroad and that they were taken care of by health establishments, adding that a stock of antimalarial vaccine reserve will be directed to southern wilayas.
