The armed branch of Hamas, the Ezzeddine al-Qassam brigades, announced that it has launched a “vast” attack “missiles”, this Sunday, May 26, 2024, on Tel Aviv.

The armed branch of Hamas said it had targeted Tel Aviv with an “important rocket dam” in a published message, today on the Telegram social network.

“We have bombed Tel Aviv with an important rocket dam in response to Zionist massacres against civilians,” wrote Ezzeddine al-Qassam brigades in a message posted while alert sirens have reached Tel Aviv.

The al-Aqsa TV television said that the rockets had been drawn from the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army said, for its part that at least eight rockets had been drawn towards the center of the country from Rafah, in the far south of the Gaza Strip, where fierce fights take place with the Palestinian armed groups.

Captured Israeli soldiers

A spokesman for the Hamas armed branch also said on Sunday that his fighters had captured Israeli soldiers during fights the day before in the north of the Gaza Strip.

According to the brigades spokesperson Ezzeddine Al Qassam, an ambush was tense to Israeli soldiers, killing some of them, the others having been captured. The hanging took place in a tunnel in the Jabaliya camp in the Palestinian enclave. The Israeli army denied.

The targeted Israeli forces were in a tunnel in the Jabalia camp and “all their members were killed, injured or taken prisoner”. Hamas’ men “seized their military equipment” before “exploding the tunnel,” said spokesperson for the Army Branch of the Palestinian Islamist movement Abou Obeida.

He also broadcast images of a soldier trained on the ground and presented as a captured Israeli soldier.

New assessment of 35,984 dead

In addition, the Hamas Ministry of Health announced today a new assessment of 35,984 died in the Gaza Strip since the start of the war between Hamas and the Zionist entity on October 7.

In 24 hours, at least 81 additional deaths were identified, according to a statement from the ministry which also reported 80,643 injured in more than seven months of war.
