The Russian space agency ROSCOSMOS announces to develop and prepare the launch of satellites on behalf of third countries. Among these is Algeria.
Algeria is preparing, through Russia, to launch satellites. This was announced on Wednesday, April 26, Iouri Borissov, Managing Director of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, quoted by the Russian media Sputnik.
Countries like Burma, Vietnam, Egypt and South Africa are also concerned.
“The isolation which is imposed on us by the G7, in particular by the United States, has not made a number of countries flee, such as Algeria, Burma, Vietnam, Egypt, South Africa, which work with us on different types of contracts for the launch of satellites that we develop on their order and that we will put in orbit,” continued the Director General of the Russian Space Agency.
Moscow is the main armament supplier in Algeria, a fact denounced by many American senators.
Algeria spent $ 9.1 billion in armament purchase in 2022, ahead of Morocco 5 billion dollars.
