The detainee and figure of the Islamic jihad movement in Palestine died this Tuesday, May 2, 2023 in prison.
This 45 -year -old man had been on hunger strike since early February to protest against his detention in Israel. Shortly after the announcement of his death, rockets were taken from the Gaza strip to the Hebrew state.
The Islamic jihad and the Palestinian prisoner club, a association for the defense of the rights of the Palestinians detained by Israel, confirmed to AFP the death of Khader Adnane at the age of 45.
Israel “will pay the price of this crime,” the Islamic jihad said in a statement. “The free hero, Khader Adnane, died martyred because of a crime committed by the enemy in front of the world, who approves injustice and terrorism, protects it and covers it,” added Islamic jihad.
