The Elysée announced the name of the new French Prime Minister. It is Jean Castex, former collaborator of Nicolas Sarkozy and LR mayor of Prades. Since last April he had been the inter -ministerial delegate responsible for the deconfine.
The composition of the new government should be known before Wednesday, the date of the next Council of Ministers.
Shortly before, the Prime Minister, Édouard Philippe, delivered his resignation to the President of the Republic this Friday, July 3, 2020, Emmanuel Macron who accepted him.
