US President Joe Biden said on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, that Israel was losing support from the international community by bombing Gaza without discrimination, which killed thousands of Palestinian civilians.
Joe Biden said today that unlike Washington, the Israeli government “did not (wanted) a solution to two states” with the Palestinians, and asked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “change” his government.
“It is the most conservative government in the history of Israel,” said the American president, highlighting “disagreements” with the Israeli leader in their long -term vision, once the conflict in the Gaza Strip is finished.
It is the first time since October 7 that Joe Biden has publicly reported his differences with the Israeli executive when he was expressed before donors of the Democratic Party.
He called Benjamin Netanyahu to “change” the executive, saying that Israel was starting to lose support from global public opinion.
Monday evening, during a reception at the White House marking the Jewish party of Hanuka, Joe Biden estimated that “world public opinion can change at any time” and that the Israelis were to be cautious.
