Israel launched an attack on Iran, in retaliation for strikes against its territory of April 13, says a senior American official quoted by ABC.
According to Iranian authorities, drones were killed early on Friday, but there is no “missile attack so far”.
“Iran activated its air defense in several provinces early Friday, April 19 after information, reporting strong explosions in the province of Ispahan, in the center of the country,” said official agency Irna.
“Important installations, in particular nuclear installations, are completely safe and no accident has been reported there,” adds the same source.
For the newspaper Le Monde, Ispahan is a very important city due to the nearby nuclear research center.
“No comments for the moment,” said the Israeli army, while alert sirens sounded in northern Israel on Friday morning.
