The Israeli authorities asked their diplomats on Thursday, October 19, 2023 to their diplomats in Turkey to leave the country by “security measure”, reports France-Presse (AFP).
Referring to increasing “terrorist threats” abroad, the Hebrew state had already invited its nationals to leave Turkey on Wednesday as soon as possible.
Demonstrations took place Tuesday evening in front of the Israeli Consulate of Istanbul and the Embassy in Ankara, after the drama which occurred at the Al-Alhi hospital in Gaza which raised a wave of indignation and demonstrations in the Arab world.
The United States launched an “vigilance” call on Thursday to all Americans in the world due to current tensions and the risks of American citizens on Thursday. “Due to increased tensions in various places in the world, the risk of terrorist attacks, demonstrations or violent actions against citizens and American interests, the State Department recommends that American citizens abroad be able to be increased in increased prudence,” said an opinion disseminated on its website.
