The capital of Qatar Doha was the theater this Tuesday of an unusual and disturbing scene: several explosions sounded in the sky of Doha, accompanied by large columns of smoke visible from the Katara district. According to journalists from the Reuters agency on the spot, these detonations occurred shortly before 3 p.m. local time, without any official source having, for the moment, provided explanations.
Several Israeli officials have announced to the media that it was bombing targeting Hamas leaders based in the Qatari capital.
Reuters’ correspondents were the first to relay the event: “Several explosions were heard in Doha, and smoke rises in the sky,” they reported, describing a scene of moderate but palpable panic. The Katara district, emblematic for its cultural dimension, was briefly plunged into confusion, passers -by raising their eyes to the sky, seeking to understand what was going on.
