Eucrostat announced this Friday, September 30, 2022, that the inflation rate in the euro zone broke a new record in September.
Inflation is now 10% over a year, driven by energy and food prices. It was 9.1% in August for the 19 countries in the euro zone. This is the highest rate recorded since the publication of the indicator in January 1997.
European energy ministers will meet this Friday in Brussels on Friday in order to adopt new emergency measures to help households and businesses to face it.
