Tunisia has called on the international community to learn from history, distant and recent, to put an end to the occupation of the Palestinian territories and to guarantee the people its legitimate rights recognized internationally, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians abroad, Nabil Ammar, during its participation Tuesday, in Geneva, in a high -level ministerial meeting.

Cited in a statement from the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Minister stressed that Tunisia had always supported peace, of which justice is the cornerstone.

It continues to support the right causes as well as the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and independence, he added.

Nabil Ammar, on this occasion, reaffirmed that Tunisia firmly rejects any attempt at the Palestinians forced.

He called on the media and journalists to assume their responsibilities with impartiality, denouncing the disseminated discourse which puts the aggressor and the victims on the same equal footing.

Nabil Ammar, in the same context, noted that the policy of arrogance and terrorism, adopted for decades, failed to undermine the efforts of the Palestinians to claim their rights.
