Launched at the call of the communist youth, this event brought together more than 100 thousand people, and took place on the Malecon, the Coastal avenue of Havana where the Embassy of the United States is located. The demonstrators notably shouted “Yankee fascist, you are a terrorist” passing in front of the building of the US Embassy.
Miguel Diaz-Canel was surrounded by his wife, Lis Cuesta, and the Cuban Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero, but also students, high school students, as well as employees of state enterprises, all called to participate in this march organized on the day of the visit in the capital of the special representative of the European Union for Human Rights, Eamon Gilmore.
