Experimental treatment based on antibodies administered to Donald Trump will be adopted by Germany.
The German Minister of Health Jens Spahn, announced yesterday, Sunday, January 24, 2021, that his country obtained 200 thousand doses for 400 million euros, or 2000 euros per dose.
The official confirmed that it was the same treatment as that administered in early October to former American president, Donald Trump.
Germany thus becomes the first country in the European Union to use this treatment based on monoclonal antibodies.
“This treatment works as a passive vaccination. Administering these antibodies during the initial infection phases can help patients at high risk to avoid more serious evolution, “said Spahn.
