For Greta Thunberg, governments fail to protect Palestinians and guarantee humanitarian aid, even though millions of people live under an illegal and prolonged seat, the fruit of decades of occupation and oppression.
She recalled the action of the Global Sumud Flatilla, intended to break the Gaza Maritime Bloc:

The activist denounced the consequences of this inaction: humanitarian engorgement, violence and deliberate deprivation, while stressing that the Palestinian populations remain confronted with “untenable and inhuman” conditions.
It also linked this situation to other world crises, citing Congo, Sudan or Afghanistan, to show that injustices are often made possible by the inaction of public authorities, the media and international institutions.
