The Israeli occupation said on Monday that it will not authorize the flotilla of world resilience, on the way to Gaza and responsible for humanitarian aid, to break the blockade imposed on the destroyed and besieged enclave.
In a press release, quoted by the AFP agency, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “Israel will not allow ships to enter an active combat zone and will not allow the violation of the sea blockade …”accusing the Hamas movement of having organized this trip to serve its own objectives.
The ministry said that “The ships can dock at the port of Ashkelon, where the aid can be transferred to Gaza”.
And add: “If the true intention of the flotilla participants is to deliver humanitarian aid, and not to serve Hamas, Israel invites them to dock in the Ashkelon Marina and unload the aids, which will then be sent quickly and coordinated to the Gaza Strip. »»
The flotilla seeks to open a humanitarian corridor towards Gaza and to break the blockade imposed on the Palestinian territory, in the grip of a devastating war for more than 23 months.
