Four children, including a baby, lost in the Amazon jungle since May 1, after the crash of their plane in the vicinity of San José del Guaviare, Colombia, were finally found by the emergency services.
The four children, aged thirteen, nine, four years old and a one year old baby, lost in the jungle survived for 40 days in the virgin forest after the crash of the plane which transported them. The pilot, their mother and another passenger had been found dead from the start of research operations.
More than one hundred soldiers helped by sniff dogs set out on the “track” of children after the discovery of clues, personal effects, as well as partly eaten fruit and a bottle near the device.
Lesly Bonbaire 13 years old, Soleiny Ranoque 9 years old, holds up 4 years old, and the baby Cristian Ranoque a year, survived the accident and stayed alive for 40 days. They were found alive, plunging the country into “joy”.
“Joy for the whole country! The four children lost 40 days ago in the Colombian jungle were found alive, “announced President Gustavo Petro in a publication on Twitter accompanied by a photo of soldiers and natives participating in the operation to find the siblings.
Army rescuers “immediately took care of and stabilized” the four brothers and sisters after having extracted them from the jungle the same evening. They arrived in Bogota, this Saturday, June 10, 2023 where they must be taken care of in a military hospital.
