The Crimea bridge was damaged this Saturday morning by a fire that is underway. The 19 km infrastructure crosses the Kerch Strait, and links Crimea to Russia.
According to Crimean railways, “a fuel tank caught fire at the tail of a train”, which would have caused the fire currently underway on the Crimean deck, which is used in particular for the transport of Russian military equipment for the Russian army fighting in Ukraine. However, Russian media evoke a trapped vehicle which is behind the fire.
The head of the Crimean Assembly, the regional parliament installed by Russia, Vladimir Konstantinov denounced a blow “of the Ukrainian Vandals”, following the fire which declared itself on the bridge of Kerch, another name of the Crimean Bridge.
