A new variant of the coronavirus worried in Europe. In France, there is already an increase in hospitalizations.
“In all age groups and especially in adults, there is an increase in passages, in low enrollment, for suspicion of infection at COVID-19 ( +26% or +149 passages)”, announces Public Health France in its weekly bulletin.
This a new variant, nicknamed “Eris”, seems to be at the source. According to French health authorities, this new strain is present in nearly 35 % of sequenced viruses on the national territory.
This variant is also very present in the United States, it is starting to be spotted in Canada where cases and hospitalizations are slightly increasing.
Its main symptoms are none other than sore throat, flowing nose and sneezing.
