Despite truce announcements at the beginning of October, Israel continues its strikes on the Gaza Strip. From Turkey to Europe, several voices are demanding an end to the attacks and a real ceasefire.

THE October 24, 2025the Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on the United States and its allies to put pressure on Israel so that it finally respects the ceasefire commitments concluded under the mediation of Qatar and Egypt.
Speaking aboard his presidential plane, returning from Oman, he denounced repeated violations and accused Israel of “trampling on international law”.

“Gaza is a test for the Muslim world. If we fail, it is our humanity that fails,” he said, promising that Turkey was ready to support any initiative aimed at stabilizing the territory.

Since the announcement of a truce agreement on October 4the situation continued to deteriorate.
THE October 6new Israeli strikes targeted northern Gaza.
THE October 12bombings hit Khan Younes And Deir el-Balahcausing several dozen civilian deaths.
THE October 15the Israeli army expanded its operations in the center of the territory, citing the presence of Hamas fighters.

THE October 18the United Nations has sounded the alarm: more than 70% of hospitals of Gaza are now out of service due to lack of fuel and equipment.
THE October 23the UN Office for Humanitarian Coordination (OCHA) reported that more than 68,000 Palestinians have been killed since the start of the conflict, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
Humanitarian convoys, blocked at Rafahhave still not received authorization to enter the enclave.

During the European Council of October 24 and 25European Union leaders have called for a immediate de-escalation and to a unhindered humanitarian access.
The French president Emmanuel Macron also called for “a lasting ceasefire” and the protection of civilians, while maintaining the diplomatic line of “support for Israel’s right to defend itself”.

NGOs present in Gaza describe a territory “bloodless, without electricity or water”, where families sleep under the rubble in almost total silence from the world.
