Erdogan announces a “consensus” with Trump on the ceasefire in Gaza and the two-state solution

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he had reached a “consensus” with US President Donald Trump on the need to end the violence in Gaza and move towards lasting peace in Palestine, based on a two -state solution.

At the end of their meeting in the oval office, at the White House, on September 25, 2025, Erdogan said that the discussions had focused on the way of reaching a ceasefire in the region. “We explained how a cease-fire can be reached in Gaza and in all of Palestine, and how sustainable peace can follow,” he told journalists. This meeting occurs shortly after the UN General Assembly adopted a declaration to promote the two -state solution.

Reinforced cooperation and bilateral trade
