Since he left the Presidency of the United States, Donald Trump has multiplied political rallies, during which he regularly talks about the possibility of representing himself.
Donald Trump even plans to launch a third candidacy for the White House after the mid-term elections on Tuesday, November 8. Elections of which the Republicans are given winners.
According to his advisers, Donald Trump has contacted his confidants in order to develop possible scenarios, while he seeks to take advantage of the expected republican victories.
“I think Trump will present himself in 2024,” a main advisor told Reuters, on condition of anonymity. “I think he wants to introduce himself and that announces before Thanksgiving gives him a great advantage over his opponents, and he understands it.”
An announcement in the coming weeks could put aside the potential rivals for the party inauguration, said the advisers, while adding that the former president is still delaying his decision or changes his mind.
A source close to Donald Trump said that he intended to announce his re -election campaign shortly after Tuesday’s elections and that he had already tried the field to find a potential staff to organize the campaign.
However, Donald Trump remains unpopular after his mandate marked by the division, which ended with the assault of the American Capitol with his supporters on January 6, 2021, then in two years during which he wrongly continued that his electoral defeat was the result of fraud.
He is currently the subject of a series of surveys, including one from the Ministry of Justice on classified documents which he took after leaving his functions, some have not yet been found, according to the prosecutors.
