The legendary Egyptian feminist activist, doctor and psychiatrist Nawal El Saadawi died this Sunday, March 21, 2021.
According to local media, El Saadawi, 89, was hospitalized for some time and died after a long fight against the disease.
Without equal, Nawal El Saadawi was a pioneering voice of the identity and role of women in society, gender equality and women’s place in Islam.
