These are surreal scenes that took place on Sunday October 29, 2023 at Makhatchkala airport, in Daghestan following its invasion by a crowd hostile to Israel.
Several dozen strangers burst out yesterday on the airport roof and on the Tarmac when he was announced to the arrival of a flight from Israel.
Videos broadcast on Telegram show them pushing barriers, trying to control the cars that leave the airport or smash doors within the terminal.
A flight from Tel Aviv having landed at 7 p.m. locals in Makhtchkala, would have caused this furious. It was a transit flight which was to take off towards Moscow at 9 p.m.
Before entering the terminal, several demonstrators decided to check the passports of people leaving the airport, according to images broadcast on social networks. One of them could be seen holding a sign: “Children’s killers do not have their place in Daghestan” and others shouted “Allah Akbar” on these videos.
Makhatchkala airport was immediately closed after the intrusion of this crowd hostile to Israel and the police were deployed on the spot.
The Russian Interior Ministry’s press service said, in a statement, that “more than 150 active participants were identified, 60 of them were arrested”. It is specified that nine police officers were injured, two are hospitalized.
Following this incident, Israel urged Russia to protect Israeli nationals and Jews.
