Biden close to victory, Trump multiplies the appeals

The presidential election in the United States has not yet delivered its winner. The duel between Joe Biden, Democratic candidate and Donald Trump, outgoing president and republican candidate, seems to turn to the advantage of the first.

The Democratic candidate is still getting closer to the White House after precious victories in two key states against Donald Trump. With Wisconsin and Michigan in his pocket, second and third states taken over from Donald Trump with Arizona, Joe Biden now has 264 large voters.

If he won Nevada (6), Georgia (16) or Pennsylvania (20), he would reach the number of 270 to become the 46th President of the United States. Except that Trump does not intend to give in as easily.

His campaign team announced a first judicial offensive, in Wisconsin, won by Joe Biden with a difference of less than 1% according to almost comprehensive results, according to several American media.

The Republicans want to request a recount of the votes and asked a local judge to re -examine the bulletins already counted, reports AFP. They also filed an appeal to obtain the suspension of the count in the Pennsylvania key state, at the end of an uncertain outcome.

The president himself had threatened on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, in a confused speech, to seize the Supreme Court, while remaining elusive on the reasons. An appeal which would delay the official announcement of the winner.

On another level, this election can boast of having been a success in terms of participation with 160 million voters who voted, an participation estimated at 66.9%.
