Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia record the highest rejection rate!

According to the Schengen Visa Info site, Algeria is the country having had the most refusal of visa requests in 2022, with 48.2%.

For its part, for the second consecutive year, Morocco is among the countries that have suffered the most rejection of Schengen visa requests.

According to the latest statistics concerning the number of EU visa applications filed around the world, 29.7% is the refusal rate recorded by the Kingdom in 2022.

Most of the refusals of requests were issued by France and Spain. On 161,045 applications received, France refused 51,498 requests. Spain, for its part, received 201,584 requests and refused 50,033.

If Algeria is the country that has had the most refusal of visa requests in 2022, with 48.2%, Tunisia, Côte d’Ivoire, Iraq, Ghana and Cameroon are also part of the countries with a high rejection rate.

Between 2021 and March 2022, 23% of visa requests filed by Tunisians were refused.
