The new legal councilor of the African Union, Hajer Guelich, will present, tomorrow Monday the oral presentation of the AU, before the International Court of Justice (CIJ), concerning the “legal consequences arising from violations by the Zionist entity of the rights of the Palestinian people in the occupied territories”.
The United Nations General Assembly adopted on Friday December 30, a resolution asking the International Court of Justice (CIJ) based in The Hague to look at the issue of Israeli occupation and colonization of the Palestinian territories.

We present oral declarations in the advisory procedure on the legal consequences of Israel’s policies and practices in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Jerusalem-Est, before the CIJ, on behalf of the AU, Monday, February 26, 2024, “wrote Hajer Guelich on his Facebook account.
Let us recall that on February 6, the president of the Commission of the African Union, had appointed the Tunisian professor under public law, Hajer Guelich, as a new legal advisor to the African Union.
