Since Sunday, a tourist submarine carrying five people has disappeared from radars. The apparatus was on the way to the wreckage of the Titanic, 4000 meters deep.
At the heart of the Atlantic Ocean, the rescue operation promises to be very delicate given the lack of information available to the rescuers.
According to Western media, in the event of an emergency, the device has oxygen reserves allowing to be “autonomous” between 70 and 96 hours after its launching.
“This is an isolated area, it is difficult to carry out research (…) We deploy all the means available to locate the boat and rescue people on board,” said US counter-Admiral John Mauger on Monday.
