A shooting broke out this Tuesday, May 24, 2022, in a primary school in Uvalde, located approximately 130 kilometers west of San Antonio (Texas), making 15 killed including 14 children and a teacher.
Uvalde Memorial Hospital had announced a preliminary assessment of two killed and 13 injured children, adding that two people “died” when they arrived.
The Governor of Texas then announced a new assessment of 15 people killed, namely 14 children and a teacher, and several wounded including two agents of the police.
The shooter “killed, in an excruciating and insane way, 14 students and he killed a teacher,” said Greg Abbott, adding that the suspect, 18, was also deceased, killed by the police.
According to the CNN television channel, the attacker entered the school with a rifle and a handgun. The mobiles of this attack are currently unknown.
The American flag was put at half -mast at the White House after this shooting, which is the deadliest in an American primary school since the attack on Sandy Hook, in Connecticut, almost ten years ago.
