The British government announced on Saturday, December 19, the reconfirming of London, southeast of England and part of the East, forcing more than 16 million inhabitants to stay at home and give up the end of years.
This comes following the discovery of a new strain of the coronavirus which is spread quickly in this country. “A new strain of the coronavirus out of control,” British Minister of Health Matt Hancock said in this sense. “We had to regain control, and the only way to do so, is to restrict social contacts,” he said, quoted by several British media.
“This is a huge challenge until we have deployed the vaccine to protect people. This is what we will face in the next two months, âwarned Matt Hancock. The United Kingdom has informed the World Health Organization (WHO) of faster propagation of the new strain, “up to 70 %” according to Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Faced with this situation, Belgium and the Netherlands have decided to suspend flights from the United Kingdom, while France is considering a similar measure.
