It is a kind of health passport. The president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen recently presented a draft health certificate which aims to “restore freedom of movement in a safe way, responsible and trustworthy” to the European Union.
This document, which will be equipped with a QR code, will attest that its holder has been vaccinated against the COVVI-19, has passed a negative PCR test or is immune as a result of its infection.
The certificate may be contained in a smartphone or on a paper document. It is intended to “facilitate” free movement in the EU, but must not be a “pre-conndition” to this freedom, it has been announced.
“So non-vaccinated people, because they are not part of priority audiences or because they do not wish to be, must be able to continue to travel, being subject to measures as well as their forties,” it was also announced, reports the AFP agency.
The European Commission “works to be done before June”.
