A balance sheet of 65 dead in fires which ravage Algeria

The results of the fires which currently ravage northern Algeria has increased to 65 dead, including 28 soldiers. Twelve hospitalized soldiers are in critical condition, said state television.

The victims’ balance sheet has increased in Algeria, where a series of criminal fires ravaging the north of the country, left a total of 42 dead.

About fifty fires “of criminal” and fueled by the heat wave began Monday evening in the north of Algeria, especially in Kabylia where the Minister of the Interior Kamel Beldjoud went.

According to the Prime Minister, Benabderahmane, more than 70 fires broke out in 18 wilayas (prefectures) in the north of the country taking stock of 42 dead including 25 soldiers and 17 civilians.

In addition, Algerian public radio has announced the arrest of three pyroomans in Médéa (North) where a fire also started. A fourth was arrested in Annaba, according to the APS.

Recall that the President of the Kais Saied proposed proposed to Algeria to provide him with an airplane to contribute to the rescue efforts.
