In Ukraine, 51 people, including a 6 -year -old child, were killed on Thursday October 5, 2023 in the bombing of a small village in the East on the sidelines of the funeral of a soldier.

This is one of the deadliest bombings for civilians since the start of the Russian invasion.

President Volodymyr Zelensky, in Spain for a meeting of European leaders, denounced an “inhuman terrorist attack” of Russia, also firmly condemned by its Western allies, the UN evoking for its part a possible “war crime”.

Friday morning, the Ukrainian authorities announced that another Russian bombing killed a child and was 23 injured, including one eleven month old in Karkhiv, in the same Eastern region.

kyiv also claimed to have shot across the country 25 of the 33 attack drones launched overnight by Russia.

The very deadly attack on Thursday struck Groza in broad daylight, a small village of 330 inhabitants near Koupiansk in the Kharkiv region.

According to the first indications given by Ukrainian Minister of the Interior Igor Klymenko, the bombing of Groza was carried out by means of a ballistic missile Iskander, a weapon available to the Russians but not the Ukrainians.
