Paul Verhoeven’s film “Elle” has just distinguished itself by winning two statuettes last night during the 2017 Césars ceremony. It is the César for best film and that of the best actress awarded to Isabelle Huppert.
This film is produced by Said Ben Said, a 50-year-old Tuniso-French, head of SBS Productions.
Dutch filmmaker Paul Verhoeven is also full of praise for his Tunisian producer with whom several projects are underway. Indeed, three projects should be created thanks to their collaboration. The first recounts episodes of the Resistance in May 1943, the second was a life of Jesus and the third reports the fictionalized chronicle of a medieval monastery.
“Elle” by Paul Verhoeven is inspired by a novel by Philippe Djian and tells the drama of a Woman business victim. The film also obtained the Golden Globe last January for the best foreign film and that of the best dramatic actress.
“She” is also retained for the Oscars. Besides, at the moment, producer Said Ben Said is on the way to Los Angeles where the 2017 Oscar ceremony will take place.
After the Césars, the Oscars? Maybe yes!
