(Update) Rock Chronicle – The Rolling Stones are 50 years old
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Mythical rockers are getting older! Created in 1962, the Rolling Stones group celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

The formation crossed five intact decades (or almost) and continues to drain the crowds where it passes. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Mick Taylor and their friends from the rhythmic section are still beautiful in front of them.

Born with the blues, the purest rock models, the Stones still shine in a thousand lights despite the passage of the years.

Their last live performance dates back to 2007 while their last tour (the now famous 40 Licks Tour) dates back to 2002.

According to indiscretions, the group is currently studying several options for a tour that would lead them to several European and American cities. For this tour, the Stones think of playing blues, because this style is in the roots of the group which, in its beginnings, “underwent” the influence of Muddy Waters and Jimmy Reed.

It is the promoter Aeg Live who should organize the 50th anniversary. To follow, listening to a good old rock, of course!

Update: Where did I have my head? Of course, Ron Wood (ex faces) is the second guitarist of Stones.
He indeed replaced Mick Taylor who had replaced the late Brian Jones, one of the founders of the group. Thank you to our readers for their vigilance!
