Tunisian cinema has just won two 9th edition of the 9th edition of the International Film Festival Oriental in Geneva (Fifog) which took place from April 4 to 13.
In the “Documentary” category, the Fifog of Silver Prize was awarded to the film “1.2,3… 5.6.7 ″ from Bilel Bali, informed a press release from the festival. This award was awarded to him for “the unexpected subject on the evolution of human-female relationships and the quality of the realization” adds the same source.
In the record of short films, the film “Skin of glue”, directed by Kaouther Ben Hania, won the Fifog of silver “for the technical quality put at the service of a pleasant, touching film and the well -tied scenario”.
During the festival, 112 films from 28 Eastern and West countries addressed the theme of the body, both in its individual and social dimension. This ninth edition also offered new looks on the condition of women and the “Arab Spring”. Three young trainees in Tunisia and Morocco as well as a team of volunteers benefited from a learning space.
The Fifog d’Or Prix in the category of feature films was awarded to the film “Round Trip” by the Syrian Meyar Al Roumi. It should be recalled that Tunisian cinema participated in the competition of feature films by the film “Nesma” by Homeida Béhi.
