Tunisian actress Hend Sabry, 35, was honored by the Ministry of Culture of the French Republic and is raised to the rank of knight of arts and letters for all of her works, she announced on her Facebook page.
The Tunisian actress, holder of a law license obtained at the Faculty of Law of Tunis and a DEA in intellectual law obtained in 2004, began her film career at the age of 14 by participating in the film “Le Silence des Palais” by director Moufida Tlatli, before continuing her rich career which led her to Egypt, country of her current residence.
CEO Middle East magazine mentioned it among the 100 most powerful women for 2013, a list that included influential women in the cultural, political and social fields.
Hend Sabry has also been the ambassador, since 2010, of the United Nations as part of the World Food Program which has worked for the fight against world hunger.
