The ninth edition of the Malmö Arab Film Festival (Sweden), which took place from October 4 to 8, 2019, ended after four days of interesting and enriching activities. Tunisian cinema being the guest of honor of this edition, The festival -goers were able to attend a panel on “the Tunisian cinema of yesterday, today and tomorrow” and especially The projection of five long and four Tunisian short films.
The closing ceremony, open to the public, took place at the Le Royal cinema, the largest cinema in Sweden, in the presence of several Arab cinema professionals.

The prizes of the competition feature documentary feature films were awarded by a jury made up of the Palestinian director Mai Masry, the Tunisian critic Tarek Ben Chaabane and the director of the Tripoli Film Festival, Elias Khlat:
- The price of the best documentary to Lebanese film Erased, ___ Ascent of the Invisible by Ghassan Halwani.
- The price of the best director Lebanese Sarah Kaskas for her film Underdown.
- Special mention For the Sudanese film Khartoum offside by Marwa Zein.
The public price was awarded to the Egyptian film The Guest from Hadi El Bagoury. Beautiful film, which tells a fairly unusual dinner putting face to face the arguments of a young Islamist and a secularist intellectual.
The price of the newspaper “al-nahar”,Awarded by Adnan Hussien Ahmed criticisms, Mustafa Kaoud and Marwa Abu Eish, was attributed to the Palestinian film Screen by Bassam Jarbawi.
