The price of excellence Faten Hamama for our Hend Sabry!

The High Consultative Committee of the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) has decided to grant the Tunisian Star Actress Hend Sabry The price of excellence Faten Hamama. This prize is awarded each year to the initiative of the family of Faten Hamama to a personality of the show which contributes to the promotion and upgrading of cinematographic art.

This award will be awarded to him during the opening ceremony of the 39th edition of the CIFF which will take place from November 21 to 30, 2017, in tribute to his rich cinematographic journey of quality roles and films. Some of these films will also be programmed during this edition of the CIFF.

This reward is a recognition of the talent of Hend Sabry who began his career at the age of 14 in the Tunisian film The Silences of the Palace from Moufida Tlatli and for which she received the Best Interpretation Prize during the 1994 JCC.

Since then, she has been successful in success, playing very different roles in prestigious films.

The talent of Hend and his ability to embody, until he even becomes his characters, earned him to be chosen by the greatest directors both Tunisian and Egyptians, such as Nouri Bouzid in Clay dollsDaoud Abdel Sayed in The citizen, the Indic and the Thief, Yosry Nasrallah in The aquarium, Mohamed Khan (which posthumously won this Faten Hamama Prize in 2016) in the film The girls in the city center or Marwen Hamed in the movies Yacoubian building And Brahim Labyadh. Hend Sabry also replied to the biggest stars of Arab cinema, such as Mahmoud Hemeda, Adel ImamMahmoud Abdelaziz, Khaled Abol NagaBassem Samra and AMR Waked.

Above all, she was able to force respect, both in Tunisia and in Egypt, thanks to her intelligence, her culture, her correction and her professionalism.

This film which had been selected in December 2016 in official competition at the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF), tells the story of a Tunisian Jewish family which moved to Haifa, in Palestine in 1947, and which will have to cohabit with a blue parrot left by Arabs, former inhabitants of the house.

Very involved in humanitarian work, Hend Sabry was appointed in 2010 United Nations Ambassador as part of the World Food Program which works for the fight against world hunger.
