The Cannes poster of the Tunisian film Tlamessdirected by Alaeddine Slim, has just been revealed. This film is selected at the 51st edition of the 2019 Directors’ Fortnight, which takes place from May 15 to 25, 2019.
Tlamess is the second feature film fiction by Alaeddine Slim, who had already shone with his first film The Last of Usdoubly awarded at the Venice Mostra and who also had won the gold Tanit of the first work at the 2016 JCC.
Synopsis:
After the death of his mother, a young Tunisian soldier returns home. He then abandoned the army and was wanted by the authorities. After several altercations with the police, he was seriously injured and takes refuge in a nearby forest. At the same time, a young pregnant woman lives in a luxurious villa in this same forest and meets the soldier. Strange events then arise …
