The Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) organized a reception at the film market on the sidelines of the 75th Cannes Festival, which started a few days ago.
During the ceremony, which took place at the Palais des Congrès and the Cannes Festivals, the artist Hussein Fahmy, new president of the Cairo International Film Festival, and the director Amir Ramses, director of the festival, received a large number of stars, filmmakers and representatives of Arab and international countries and festivals.
The reception began with a speech by the president of the festival, Hussein Fahmy, in which he expressed his deep sadness for the loss of his friend and colleague, the great artist Samir Sabry, who died the same day, and considered one of the most important artists of Egyptian cinema. Samir Sabri had played a leading role in the creation and support of the festival since 1976. He had also been the first master of ceremonies, during his inaugural edition. Samir Sabri had also been master of opening ceremonies of the 40th Ciff edition, birthday edition!

This reception, which has brought together a large number of filmmakers from around the world, is an introductory meeting at the 44th edition of the Festival, which must be held from November 13 to 22 and whose details will be revealed soon.
The festival also sought, through this ceremony, to get to know many filmmakers of different cultures to talk about the latest developments in the film industry around the world, and to open more cooperation paths between CIFF and Arab, international and global festivals.
We note that the new CIFF management took advantage of this 75th Edition of the Cannes Film Festival to carry out an important advertising campaign, with large advertising panels on La Croisette, an advertisement on a whole page of the famous Magazine Variety and a large presence in Cannes of several members of the Festival.
