Small country, I love you a lot in Megara

The former Megara hotel welcomes from September 20 to October 5, a collective of nine Belgian and Tunisian photographers for an exhibition that wants to be a tribute to Tunisia.

The title chosen for this exhibition refers to a song by Cesaria Evora. The organizers take over this hymn of the singer with bare feet and in turn seem to suggest the link to the native country and its immemorial history.

It is through a collection of photography entitled “Small country, I love you very much”, which will be held from September 20 to October 5 at the old Megara hotel in Gammarth, that the beautiful story of our Tunisia will be told through the gaze of a collective of talented Tunisian and Belgian photographers, comprising David Ameye, Mehdi Ben Temessek, Raouf Bouchamaoui, Kai’s, Kai’s, Khouaja, Charles Siala, Terry Taieb, Alain Van Haverbeke and Skander Zarrad.

This project was born with the support of the Belgian ambassador and the Wallonia-Brussels delegation in Tunisia. It is carried by Liv Advisory, led by Myriam Kettou and Salima Kriaa. The scenography of the exhibition was carried out by Wadi Mhiri.

The exhibition is supplemented by the publication of a collective work including among others texts by Alya Hamza, Nadia Zouari, Donia Chaouch, Rafla Hefaiedh Ayed, Sarah Ben Romdane, Mona Fkih Khouaja, Alain Van Haverbeke, Raja Essefiani and François Dumont.
