The director, actor and journalist, Ridha Azaiez, died this Sunday, November 17, after a long fight against the disease, announced the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
Recognized as an essential figure in the Tunisian cultural scene, Ridha Azaiez marked the theatrical, cinematographic and television universe. Throughout his career, he has multiplied the roles of actor, helping to enrich national cultural heritage. In the 1970s, he also founded the Sahline theater association.
In addition to his theatrical commitment, Azaiez has participated in many productions, such as “the potter’s daughter”, “khadhra and treasure”, “dhafaier”, “the scent of anger”, “gamret sidi mahrous” and “for the eyes of Catherine”.
The Ministry of Cultural Affairs expressed its deep sadness, and a tribute was paid to this great artist who devoted his life to culture. May his soul rest in peace.
